CREATES A SUPPORTIVE NETWORK FOR VETERANS UTILIZING LEAD MENTORS MATCHED WITH DISABLED VETERANS WHO ARE BATTLING MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD), TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI), DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY, AND/OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE, PHYSICAL DISABILITIES OR HOMELESSNESS STEMMING FROM SERVICE-RELATED MILITARY MISSIONS. CONDITIONS SUCH AS THESE OFTEN RESULT IN ISOLATION, LONELINESS, DECREASED SELF-ESTEEM LACK OF COPING AND SOCIAL SKILLS AND THE NEED FOR COMMUNITY INTEGRATION.
