Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

VOTERS EDUCATION AND STATE CAMPAIGN: EVERY SESSION OF THE MONTANA LEGISLATURE, MCV SERVES AS A RESOURCE TO LEGISLATORS. MCV LEADS THE CONSERVATION COMMUNITY'S EFFORTS WITH THE MCV EDUCATION FUND TO EDUCATE ELECTED LEADERS AND ENSURE THEY KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING FOR CONSERVATION. AFTER THE SESSION, MCV RELEASES ITS LEGISLATIVE SCORECARD TO CELEBRATE CONSERVATION CHAMPIONS AND HOLD ALL OTHERS ACCOUNTABLE TO THEIR ANTI-CONSERVATION DECISIONS. DURING OFF-SESSION YEARS, MCV FOLLOWS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LAWS THROUGH THE REGULATORY PROCESS AND PROVIDES COMMENTS TO AGENCIES AND INTERIM LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEES WHEN RELEVANT. WE ALSO LEAD CAMPAIGNS IN-STATE AND AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL TO MOBILIZE VOTERS ON OUR POLICY PRIORITIES.

CONSERVATION POLICY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:PROTECTING PUBLIC LANDS, CLEAN AIR AND CLEAN WATER CONTINUE TO BE MCV'S TOP PRIORITIES AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LEVEL. MCV HOLDS ELECTED LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE TO PROTECTING MONTANA'S ICONIC LANDSCAPES AND OUTDOOR WAY OF LIFE. WE DO THIS WORK BY RALLYING SUPPORT FOR POLICIES THAT INVEST IN AND PROTECT CONSERVATION OF OUR PUBLIC LANDS, WILDLIFE, AIR AND WATER, CALLING OUT LEADERS WHO DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON THEIR CONSERVATION COMMITMENTS AND CELEBRATING THOSE WHO CHAMPION OUR ISSUES.

OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION:MCV LEVERAGES ITS STATEWIDE MEMBERSHIP TO TAKE ACTION AT CRITICAL MOMENTS FOR CONSERVATION SUCH AS DURING ELECTIONS AND THROUGHOUT LEGISLATIVE SESSIONS. WE REACH OUR MEMBERSHIP THROUGH IN-PERSON ACTIVATION EVENTS AS WELL AS PRINT AND DIGITAL PLATFORMS. OUR OUTREACH TAKES PLACE STATEWIDE.
