MONTANA AUDUBON PROMOTES APPRECIATION, KNOWLEDGE AND CONSERVATION OF NATIVE BIRDS, OTHER WILDLIFE AND NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS TO SAFEGUARD BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.

OUTREACH PROGRAM AND EDUCATION-WORK TO OPERATE THE AUDUBON EDUCATION CENTER IN BILLINGS, MT. THE CENTER PROVIDES OUTDOOR,HANDS-ON ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR K-12 AND COLLEGE STUDENTS AS WELL AS FAMILIES WITH A FOCUS ON NATURAL AND CULTURAL HISTORY OF THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER ECOSYSTEM AND ADJACENT PRAIRIE HABITATS.


PUBLIC POLICY - MONTANA AUDUBON IS A RESPECTED AND INFLUENTIAL VOICE ON COMPLEX NATURAL RESOURCE ISSUES ACROSS THE STATE, WITH A PROVEN ABILITY TO WORK WITH DIVERSE STAKEHOLDERS TO SOLVE TOUGH PROBLEMS. PUBLIC POLICY IS AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF OUR CONSERVATION WORK. WE SAFEGUARD MONTANA'S NATURAL HERITAGE BY INFLUENCING DECISION MAKERS TO PROTECT OUR STATE'S HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT AND RICH BIODIVERSITY.


BIRD CONSERVATION- MONITORING AND PROTECTING CRITICAL BIRD HABITAT FOR RARE, SENSITIVE, AND DECLINING SPECIES, ESPECIALLY THROUGH THE IMPORTANT BIRD AREA PROGRAM.
