TO HONOR AND PERPETUATE THE THE MEMORY AND SPIRIT OF THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO, BY THEIR SERVICES AND SACRIFICES DURING THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION FROM 1775 TO 1783, ASSISTED IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS A FREE AND INDEPENDENT COUNTRY, WITH SPECIAL CONSIDERATION ACCORDED TO THE COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF THE NEW YORK CONTINENTAL LINE AND THE SOLDIERS THEY LED; B) TO PROMOTE HISTORICAL RESEARCH INTO THE STUDY OF HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION BY ASSISTING IN THE SUPPORT OF LIBRARIRES, AUTHORS AND PROGRAMS TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOREGOING; C) TO ASSIST IN THE COLLECTION AND PRESERVATION OF RECORDS REALTIVE TO THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AND THE RECORDS OF SERVICE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN IT; D) TO INSPIRE PATRIOTISM AND LOYALTY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO FOSTER A SPIRITY OF FELLOWSHIP AND SUPPORT AMOUNT THE MEMBERS OF THE CORPORATION; E) TO COOPERATE WITH THE GENERAL SOCIETY OF THE CINCINNATI AND ITS OTHER CONSTITUENT SOCIETIES.

THE INCOME AND EXPENSES SHOWN HERE ARE PRIMARILY TWO MEETINGS HELD EACH YEAR. THESE MEETINGS ARE BOTH BUSINESS ORIENTED AND EDUCATIONALLY ORIENTED TO CARRYOUT THE GOALS OF THE SOCIETY. THE FIRST OCCURS IN NEW YORK CITY IN FEBRUARY AROUND THE BIRTHDAY OF GEORGE WASHINGTON. THE SECOND MEETING IS HELD IN NOVEMBER IN WASHINGTON DC AT ANDERSON HOUSE, THE NATIONAL HEADQUARTER OF THE CINCINNATI WHERE BUSINESS WITH THE SOCIETY IS CONDUCTED AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND POSSIBLE TOURS OCCUR. THE FORMER WAS HELD VIRTUALLY DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
THE NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY OF THE CINCINATI IS AFFILIATED WITH THE GENERAL SOCIETY OF CINCINNATI IS INVOLVED IN SIGNIFICANT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES INVOLVED WITH THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR AND THE FOUNDERS OF THE NATION. ALL OF THE GRANTS MADE ARE FOR THE PUPOSE OF BENEFITING THE STUDY OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. AMOUNG THE GRANTS:GENERAL SOCIETY - $5,000 FOR ANNUAL SUPPORT.MT GULIAN CONTIRIBUTION $40,490 - USED TO MAINTAIN THE FOUNDING LOCATION OF THE NEW YORK SOCIETY OWNED BY THE MT GULIAN SOCIETY, A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION--INCLUDING FUNDING PART OF ITS SHORTFALL IN 2020 DU TO THE PANDEMIC.ALEXANDER HAMILTON AWARD $115 - USED TO PURCHASE A MEDAL THAT WILL BE AWARDED TO AN INDIVIDUAL THAT EXEMPLIFIES THE LEGACY AND PRINCIPLES OF ALEXANDER HAMILTON.CADET SWORD/MISCELLANEOU $4,451- USED TO PURCAHSE A SWORD AWARDED TO A WEST POINT CADET WHO HAS EXCELLED IN HISTORY, AS WELL AS OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS.
