SINCE STARTUP, OUR OFFICERS HAVE PROVIDED EDUCATION TO THE OHV COMMUNITY ON OHV RELATED NEWS AND SAFETY ON THE OREGON DUNES NATIONAL RECREATIONAL AREA. NEWS RELATED BUT NOT LIMITED TO CLOSURES DUE TO WATER, UNSAFE RIDING CONDITIONS AS WELL AS OPPORTUNITIES TO CREATE TRAILS IN OPEN RIDING AREAS. WE ALSO PROVIDE TIPS FOR SAFE RIDING AND HELP KEEP THE PUBLIC INFORMED OF ANY NEW LAWS AND REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO OHV. WE CONTINUE TO WORK CLOSELY WITH THE US FOREST SERVICE ON DUNES RELATED ISSUES LIKE RESTORATION OF OPEN SAND. WE ARE ACTIVE WITH THE OREGON DUNES RESTORATION COLLABORATIVE AND HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN VARIOUS RESTORATION ACTVITIES. OUR MOST CURRENT ACTIVITIES WERE TO CHANGE THE SOUND LIMITS THAT ARE CURRENTLY UNATTAINABLE ON THE ODNRA. WE ARE WORKING WITH THE US FOREST SERVICE TO MAKE THESE CHANGES.WE ARE ALSO WORKING TO GET A MAJOR ENTRANCE TO THE SOUTHERN DUNES PAVED FOR SAFETY PURPOSES.
