KOMAZA'S PROGRAM PROVIDES TOOL AND INPUTS, TRAINING,AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR SOME OF THE WORLD'S HARDES TO SERVE FARMERS BY SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF SMALL-SCALE TREE FARMS IN KENYA'S SEMI-ARID REGIONS. OUR PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTED WITH LOCAL FIELD STAFF IN TWO PLANTING SEASONS: THE LONG RAINS, BEGINNING IN MARCH, AND THE SHORT RAINS, BEGINNING IN SEPTEMBER. DURING 2016 KOMAZA PARTNERED WITH ALMOST 2,000 NEW FARMERS, PLANTING OVER 400,000 TREES AS WELL AS SHORTER-TERM CROPS.
