MILE HIGH JAZZ BAND AND MILLENNIUM BUGS COMBO HELD ABOUT 20 PERFORMANCES, INCLUDING JAZZ & POETRY EVENTS, ATTENDED BY FROM 50 TO 500 EACH, AND PERFORMED WITH THE CARSON HIGH SCHOOL AND CARSON MIDDLE SCHOOL JAZZ BANDS TO HELP THEM RAISE FUNDS FOR SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAMS. MHJB ASSOCIATION SPONSORED AN ART CONTEST FOR CARSON-TAHOE AREA ARTISTS AND CO-PRODUCED A 17-DAY JAZZ FESTIVAL IN AUGUST ATTENDED BY MORE THAN 5,000 PEOPLE.
