THE NMCCF IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SUPPORT TO ADULT CANCER PATIENTS FOR THEIR NONMEDICAL FINANCIAL NEEDS SUCH AS RENT, MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION DURING THEIR BATTLE AGAINST CANCER. THE NMCCF ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SUPPORT TO CLIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND CAREGIVEERS TO MEET THEIR EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS DURING CANCER TREATMENT. ONGOING CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS ARE DEVELOPED TO PROVIDE UPDATED INFORMATION ON CLINICAL PRACTICE AND QUALITY PATIENT- FOCUSED CANCER CARE, THEREBY FOSTERING EXCELLENCE WITH CLINICIANS AND OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONALS.

CLIENT GRANT PROGRAM: THE NMCCF ADDRESSES THE FINANCIAL INSECURITY THAT OFTEN RESULTS FROM A CANCER DIAGNOSIS. FOLLOWING A NEEDS-BASED ASSESSMENT, THE NMCCF PROVIDES DIRECT PAYMENTS TO THIRD PARTIES FOR NON-MEDICAL FINANCIAL NEEDS. THESE INCLUDE RENTS, MORTGAGES, TRANSPORTATION, TEMPORARY LODGING, UTILITIES, GAS, AND NUTRITION AS WELL AS OTHER EXPENSES DURING TREATMENT. CLIENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO 3,000.00 PER YEAR.


WOMEN'S CARE WEDNESDAY THROUGH OUR WCW PROGRAMMING, THE NMCCF PROVIDES DIRECT SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO CANCER PATIENTS, CARE GIVERS AND OTHERS PROVIDING SUPPORT TO CANCER PATIENTS COMMUNITY WIDE. PROGRAMING INCLUDES ART THERAPY, BEAUTIFUL WARRIOR (MAKEUP/APPEARANCE TECHNIQUES TO MINIMIZE THE EFFECTS OF TREATMENT), YOGA, AND FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION CLASSES FOR HEALTHY NUTRITION. PROGRAMMING IS HELD WEEKLY ON WEDNESDAYS.


EDUCATION THE NMCCF IS COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING THE MOST CURRENT, RELEVANT, AND ACTIONABLE CONTENT TO SUPPORT THE CONTINUING EDUCATION OF PROVIDERS IN NEW MEXICO COMMUNITIES. THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH ENCORE MEDICAL, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, AND THE MAYS CANCER CENTER WE ARE THE EXCLUSIVE PARTNER IN NEW MEXICO TO DELIVER CONTENT FROM THE SAN ANTONIO BREAST CANCER SYMPOSIUM.
