THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO THE NEEDS OF THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY IN SANTA BARBARA, IN WHICH A FACILITY IS MAINTAINED TO PROVIDE FOOD, SHELTER, MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES. AN EMERGENCY WINTER SHELTER IS ALSO PROVIDED AS WELL AS A YEAR-ROUND TRANSITIONAL SHELTER THAT ENLISTS THE SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND EXISTING SUPPORT SERVICES.THE ORGANIZATION ENDED OPERATIONS AS CASA ESPERANZA HOMELESS SHELTER ON JUNE 30, 2015. THE ORGANIZATION'S OPERATIONS AND ASSETS AND LIABILITIES WERE ACQUIRED BY PEOPLE ASSISTING THE HOMELESS ("PATH"), A SEPARATE 501(C)3 ORGANIZATION, ON JULY 1, 2015 AND OPERATED AS AN EXTENSION OF PATH UNDER THE DBA PATH SANTA BARBARA GOING FORWARD.
