COMMUNITY ASSIST GRANTS - THE SHARKS FOUNDATION ACCEPTS APPLICATIONS FOR PROGRAMS OR PROJECT FUNDING IN ONE OF ITS FOCAL AREAS OF GIVING: HEALTHY LIVING - FITNESS, WELLNESS, MEDICAL (NON-CANCER), MENTAL HEALTH HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER - CANCER-RELATED PATIENT CARE, SUPPORT SERVICES, SURVIVOR PROGRAMS SEASON OF GIVING - BASIC HUMAN SERVICES, FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER, HOLIDAY EVENTS HEROES APPRECIATION - MILITARY, POLICE, FIRE, EMT, DOCTOR/NURSE, INSPIRATIONAL YOUTH, OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY MEMBERS EDUCATION - PRE-K THRU COLLEGE, LITERACY, STEM, MUSIC/ARTS, PROGRAMS OUTSIDE SCHOOL HOCKEY IS FOR EVERYONE - CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, MENTORSHIP, ANTI-BULLYING, LEADERSHIP, MORAL CHARACTER ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS - BEAUTIFICATION, SUSTAINABILITY, RECYCLING, SCIENCE, WORLD HEALTH

THE PROJECT, AN EXTENSION OF CITYTEAM'S CURRENT MODEL THAT ESTABLISHES FOOD DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS IN UNDERSERVED NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGHOUT SANTA CLARA COUNTY, WILL STRATEGICALLY SELECT 18 DIFFERENT SITES ACROSS ALAMEDA COUNTY TO PROVIDE DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH FRESH AND ACCESSIBLE GROCERIES ON A BI-MONTHLY BASIS.
