CODA IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT FOCUSES ON HEARING CHILDREN OF DEAF ADULTS. MEMBERSHIP IS PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, COMPOSED OF HEARING CHILDREN OF DEAF PARENTS. CODA ADDRESSES OUR BI-CULTURAL EXPERIENCES THROUGH CONFERENCES, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT.

CONFERENCES - THE 2023 CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN SOUTH KOREA WITH ALMOST 150 CODAS IN ATTENDANCE. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME A CODA CONFERENCE WAS HELD ON THE CONTINENT OF ASIA. PAYMENT/EXPENSES WERE MADE FOR THIS CONFERENCE AND DEPOSITS FOR THE 2024 CONFERENCE IN SAN DIEGO, CA.


OTHER PROGRAMS AS OUTREACH, MEMORIAL FUNDS AND GENERAL PROGRAMS.


MILLIE BROTHER SCHOLARSHIP - THE MILLIE BROTHER SCHOLARSHIP IS AWARED ANNUALLY TO HEARING CHILDREN OF DEAF ADULTS TO HELP THEM PURSUE THEIR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION. THE SCHOLARSHIP CAN BE USED FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES AT ANY ACCREDITED INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING. ON AVERAGE 7-9 FOR A TOTAL OF $9000 SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED EACH YEAR. THESE ARE ONE-TIME SCHOLARSHIPS.
