FORESIGHT INSTITUTE PROGRAMSFORESIGHT INSTITUTE ADVANCES TECHNOLOGIES OF FUNDAMENTAL IMPORTANCE TO THE LONG-TERM FUTURE OF LIFE AND THE BIOSPHERE, FOCUSING ON MOLECULAR MACHINE NANOTECHNOLOGY, LONGEVITY, AND COMPUTER SCIENCE. WE REWARD EXCELLENCE, RESTRAIN RECKLESSNESS, AND CREATE COMMUNITY TO PROMOTE BENEFICIAL USES OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES AND REDUCE MISUSE AND ACCIDENTS POTENTIALLY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM.FORESIGHT PROGRAMS IN NANOTECHNOLOGY, BIOTECHNOLOGY, COMPUTER SCIENCE, SPACE TECHNOLOGY, NEUROTECH, FORESIGHT.TO TRANSLATE THE EXPERTISE OF 10+ YEARS OF TECHNICAL COMPETITIONS FOR ADVANCING BIOTECHNOLOGY, NANOTECHNOLOGY, AND COMPUTATION INTO CONSISTENT LONG-TERM PROGRESS, FORESIGHT INSTITUTE LEADS YEAR-LONG STRATEGY GROUPS. CONNECTED BY A VIRTUAL GROUP, THIS PROGRAM ADVANCES THE WORK OF THOSE WORKING TO CREATE ATOMICALLY PRECISE APPLICATIONS IN ENERGY, MEDICINE, AND MATERIALS SCIENCE TOWARD FEYNMANS VISION OF MOLECULAR NANOTECHNOLOGY.LONGEVITY PROGRAM: HEALTH EXTENSION GROUP THIS GROUP OF SCIENTISTS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND INSTITUTIONAL ALLIES MEETS MONTHLY TO COOPERATE IN SPURRING FIELD-WIDE PROGRESS ON TECHNOLOGIES THAT FIGHT AGING AND INCREASE HUMAN HEALTHSPAN. AI CYBERSPACE PROGRAM: INTELLIGENT COOPERATION GROUPA GROUP OF EXPERTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, CRYPTOGRAPHY, AI, AND RELATED FIELDS, CONNECTED BY A VIRTUAL GROUP, WHO COOPERATE ON APPLYING THESE TOOLS TO BUILD A FUTURE DEFINED BY INTELLIGENT COOPERATION AND SEEK DECENTRALIZED DEFENSES AGAINST AUTOMATED PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL THREATS.NEUROTECH: IMPROVING COGNITION. A GROUP OF NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCHERS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND ALLIES ADVANCING BENEFICIAL SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM NEUROTECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS.SPACE: A GROUP OF RESEARCHERS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND ALLIES ADVANCING SPACE TECHNOLOGIES, FROM NEAR-TERM APPLICATIONS TO LONG-TERM EXPLORATION.


FELLOWSHIPS AND FEYNMAN PRIZESTECHNOLOGY PRIZES HAVE HELPED PUSH THE ENVELOPE IN DEVELOPING ENABLING TECHNOLOGY AND ACHIEVING MILESTONES. FORESIGHT AWARDS ARE SEVERAL OF THE PREMIER RESEARCH AWARDS IN THE NANOTECHNOLOGY FIELD, INCLUDING THE FEYNMAN PRIZES IN NANOTECHNOLOGY (ONE EACH FOR EXPERIMENT AND THEORY) AND THE FORESIGHT DISTINGUISHED STUDENT AWARD. IN ADDITION, THE FORESIGHT FEYNMAN GRAND PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED TO THE FIRST PERSON OR GROUP TO MEET SPECIFIC CRITERIA FOR CONSTRUCTING NANOSCALE DEVICES, A KEY MILESTONE IN DEVELOPING MOLECULAR MANUFACTURING METHODS AND DEVICES. IN 2017 FORESIGHT LAUNCHED THE FORESIGHT FELLOWSHIP, A SUPPORTIVE PROGRAM TO SUPPORT TEN SELECTED INNOVATORS IN REALIZING THEIR IDEAS, FOCUSING ON MOLECULAR MACHINE NANOTECHNOLOGY, LONGEVITY, AI, AND CYBERSPACE.
