POLICE DETAIL - BGE PTO SUPPORTED 100% OF FUNDING TO ENSURE YEAR-ROUND STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP SAFETY WITH HISD POLICE OFFICERS ON CAMPUS TWICE DAILY (IN THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON) TO ENSURE SAFE TRAFFIC FLOW. STUDENT OUTCOME EDUCATION INITIATIVES - BGE PTO FUNDED 100% OF THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION-RELATED PROGRAMS FOR THE SCHOOL: FUEL EDUCATION MIDDLEBURY LANGUAGE PROGRAM LICENSES FOR EACH STUDENT TO ACCESS FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES, PE EQUIPMENT (SCOOTERS AND SOCCER NET), AND AN ALUMINUM FAN BACKBOARD FOR BASKETBALL IN THE OUTDOOR PAVILION. TEACHER APPRECIATION SUPPORT - BGE PTO FUNDS A TEACHER APPRECIATION PROGRAM TO ENSURE THAT TEACHERS ARE SUPPORTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH EVENTS SUCH AS MONTHLY LUNCHES, CATERING, SNACKS, AND COFFEE EVENTS, AS WELL AS HOLIDAY AND END-OF-SCHOOL-YEAR GIFT CARDS TO ALL BGE TEACHERS AND STAFF.
