THE HGS UNDERGRADUATE FUND GIVES SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS STUDYING FOR A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN GEOSCIENCE. SEVEN UNIVERSITIES CURRENTLY PARTICIPATE IN THE FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THESE INCLUDE RICE UNIVERSITY, THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON, TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY, THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIVERSITY, STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE UNIVERSITY, AND LAMAR UNIVERSITY. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ARE NOMINATED BY EACH UNIVERSITY AND SELECTED BY THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD. EIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED DURING THE 2022-2023 YEAR.
