PROVIDES SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITY BASED EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES AND COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOLS. SUPPORT AND ASSIST IN PROVIDING LEARNING EXPERIENCES WHICH INTEGRATES HAWAIIAN CULTURE AND PRACTICES WITH STUDENTS IN CONTEMPORARY CONTEXT TO PERPETUATE HAWAIIAN ARTS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITY BASED EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES AND COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOLS. THROUGH THREE GRANTS FROM KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS EDUCATIONAL SERVICES WERE ENHANCED AND SUPPLEMENTED DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR 20-21 FOR 62 STUDENTS FAMILIES AND THE GREATER COMMUNITY. THESE PROVIDED FUNDING FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: 1. STAFFING OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS STAFFING OF OCEAN CULTURE SCIENCE LABS AND TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT. 2. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO IMPROVE TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS. 3. STAFFING SUPPORT FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM APPROACH TO SCHOOL MANAGEMENT.
