THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES, INCLUDING, FOR SUCH PURPOSES, THE MAKING OF DISTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, OR CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE. GENERALLY, IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO SOLELY DISTRIBUTE SCHOLARSHIPS, BUT TO FOCUS ON IRVING'S BROADER EDUCATIONAL ISSUES.

ONE IRVING - INCREASE THE NUMBER OF COLLEGE-BOUND AND POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION STUDENTS THROUGH SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH(STEM); ADVANCE VIA INDIVIDUAL DETERMINATION (AVID) AND "THE LEADER IN ME" PROGRAMS. INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES THAT LINK THE NEED FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE THROUGH THE EXPANSION OF MENTORING PROGRAMS. HIGHLIGHT IRVING'S ASSETS AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGH AN IMAGE CAMPAIGN.
