LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS - THE LEADERSHIP LUFKIN PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE IDENTIFICATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF EXISTING AND POTENTIAL LEADERS IN ANGELINA COUNTY WHILE THE LEADERSHIP TOMORROW PROGRAM ALLOWS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO LEARN ABOUT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE COMMUNITY AND FIND WAYS THAT THEY CAN GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. DURING 2021, THERE WERE 25 PARTICIPANTS IN TWO CLASSES OF LEADERSHIP LUFKIN AND 50 PARTICIPANTS IN TWO CLASSES OF LEADERSHIP TOMORROW. OVER THE YEARS, THE LEADERSHIP LUFKIN PROGRAM HAS HAD OVER 779 GRADUATES. DURING 2021, THERE WERE 12 PARTICIPANTS IN THE INAUGURAL CLASS OF THE LEADING EDGE PROGRAM. THE LEADING EDGE PROGRAM PREPARES PROFESSIONALS FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH SERVICE ON NONPROFIT BOARDS.
