THE FORUM AWARDED $10,900 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO 6 STUDENTS TO SUPPORT THEIR CONTINUED EDUCATION INTO COLLEGE. THE FORUM HOSTED A SCHOLARSHIP BOOTCAMP FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS TO LEARN HOW TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE. THE BOOTCAMP WAS FREE TO THE PUBLIC AND COSTS THE FORUM $750 WHICH WAS SPONSORED BY ATMOS ENERGY AND HAD 85 ATTENDEES. THE FORUM HOSTED THE CITYWIDE MLK PROGRAM SPONSORED IN PART BY THE CITY OF PLANO WHICH COSTS $6,937 AND INCLUDED PARTICIPANTS FROM SURROUNDING CITIES AS WELL AS PLANO. THE CITY EXPERIENCED SEVERE FREEZING WEATHER WHICH IMPACTED ATTENDANCE, BUT WAS STILL WELL RECEIVED WITH ABOUT 80 ATTENDEES.
