DALLAS CASA TRAINS AND SUPERVISES COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS WHO GATHER INFORMATION AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS THAT HELP JUDGES DECIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM UNSAFE HOMES AND ARE LIVING IN PROTECTIVE CARE. OVER 3,000 ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN ARE IN PROTECTIVE CARE EACH YEAR IN DALLAS COUNTY. IN 2021, DALLAS CASA SERVED 3,113 CHILDREN WITH 1,539 ASSIGNED VOLUNTEERS AND AN AGGREGATE OF 758,900 TOTAL DAYS OF SERVICE TO CHILDREN. DALLAS CASA TRAINED AND SUPERVISED THESE VOLUNTEERS WITH A TOTAL STAFF OF 87 AT YEAR-END.
