MEALS ON WHEELS OF TARRANT COUNTY--500. THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDES MEALS TO HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS IN TARRANT COUNTY. FROM THE MEALS ON WHEELS WEBSITE, 25 WILL FEED ONE HOMEBOUND PERSON FOR ONE WEEK. UNITED SERVICES ORGANIZATION (USO)- 500. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES MORALE-BOOSTING SERVICES TO SERVICEMEN AND FAMILIES. TARRANT FOOD BANK--500. THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FOOD TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. FROM THE FOOD BANK WEBSITE...FOR EVERY 1 THEY RECEIVE, THEY ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE 5 MEALS. CHRISTS HAVEN FOR CHILDREN--500-A LOCAL ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AGED 0 TO 18, INCLUDING TEENAGE MOTHERS AND THEIR CHILDREN. COMPETITIONS-ALL COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED AT THE CLUB ARE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
EDUCATION CLASSES - VARIOUS CLASSES WERE OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING: SEVERAL TEXAS CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE/RENEWAL, BASIC HANDGUN,AND HUNTER'S EDUCATION. THE EDUCATION CLASSES FOLLOW COURSE REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT.
PUBLIC SIGHT-IN-DAYS - FACILITY WAS OPEN TO PUBLIC DURING THE WEEKENDS PRIOR TO DEER SEASON TO ALLOW ANY HUNTER TO SIGHT-IN AND ADJUST THEIR FIREARMS. ASSISTANCE FROM EXPERIENCED CLUB MEMBERS WAS OFFERED. FOR 2016 APPROXIMATELY 21 HUNTERS SIGHTED THEIR RIFLES IN AT THE CLUB.
