TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS.

THE GUADALUPE-PARKWAY NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS HAS BEEN OFFERING CHILDREN IN NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK ACADEMIC AND ENRICHMENT SUPPORT FOR OVER 60 YEARS. THE CENTERS PROVIDE MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO LEARN AND GROW. INSTRUCTION IN COMPUTER LITERACY, COMPETITIVE SPORTS AND FINE ARTS ARE OFFERED YEAR ROUND. ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO DEVELOP SELF-PRESENTATION, CHARACTER, CONFIDENCE, LEADERSHIP AND CONFIDENCE. A STEM PROGRAM HAS BEEN IMPLEMENT TO COMPLIMENT THE EXISTING PROGRAMS FACILITATED AT THE CENTERS. APPROXIMATELY 780 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE SERVED THROUGH PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES IN 2021. THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SERVED WAS DOWN FROM PRIOR YEARS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.
