THE MISSION OF SAN ANGELO CIVIC THEATRE IS TO CULTURALLY ENRICH, EDUCATE, AND ENTERTAIN THROUGH THE ART OF THEATRE AND THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE AND TO ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN ALL ASPECTS THEREOF.

SAN ANGELO CIVIC THEATRE IS THE OLDEST COMMUNITY THEATRE IN TEXAS. ITS AIM IS TO EONCOURAGE THE COMMUNITY TO PARTICPATE IN THE PRODUCTION AND PERFORMANCE OF LIVE THEATRE. SAN ANGELO CIVIC THEATRE PRODUCES SEVEN MAINSTAGE SHOWS A YEAR, OFFERS ADULT AND CHILDREN'S WORKSHOPS, YOUTH THEATRE AND PLAY READING SATURDAYS. IT OFFERS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR ON AND OFF STAGE TO INCLUDE: ACTING, BACKSTAGE MANAGEMENT, COSTUME DESIGN, SET DESIGN, LIGHT AND SOUND DESIGN, DIRECTING AND STAGE MANAGING TO NAME A FEW. OUTREACH PROJECTS WERE DEVELOPED TO BRING THEATRE ARTS TO THE SENIOR CARE CENTERS AND THE STATE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY. SAN ANGELO CIVIC THEATRE EXPANDED THE YOUTH AND ADULT PROGRAMS BY ASSISTING WITH OTHER COMMUNITY THEATRE PRODUCTIONS SUCH AS BE THEATRE, SAN ANGELO BROADWAY ACADEMY, ETC.
