IT IS THE MISSION OF THE FILM NOIR FOUNDATION TO FIND AND PRESERVE FILMS IN DANGER OF BEING LOST OR IRREPARABLY DAMAGED AND TO ENSURE THAT HIGH QUALITY PRINTS OF THESE CLASSIC FILMS REMAIN IN CIRCULATION FOR THEATRICAL EXHIBITION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. ONCE THESE FILMS ARE UNEARTHED, RESTORED AND RETURNED TO CIRCULATION, THE CHANCES INCREASE THAT THE FILMS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON BLU-RAY AND/OR FOR ONLINE STREAMING FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS OF FILM LOVERS TO APPRECIATE.

2020-2021 FILM RESTORATION PROJECT - 35MM FILM, AS WELL AS 4K DIGITAL, RESTORATION OF THE 1948 FILM THE ARGYLE SECRETS. INVOICES PAID IN FISCAL YEAR 2020 AND FISCAL YEAR 2021 BY THE FILM NOIR FOUNDATION. RESTORATION PERFORMED THROUGH UCLA FILM & TELEVISION ARCHIVE (HFPA GRANT 2020 FOR $84,784).


BLU-RAY/DVD SPECIAL FEATURES PRODUCTION IN FISCAL YEAR 2021 BY FILM NOIR FOUNDATION FOR FLICKER ALLEY HOME-VIDEO RELEASES OF THE FOLLOWING FILM NOIR FOUNDATION RESTORATIONS: LOS TALLOS AMARGOS (ARGENTINA 1956), LA BESTIA DEBE MORIR (ARGENTINA 1952), REPEAT PERFORMANCE (1947), AND THE GUILTY/HIGH TIDE (1947).
