THE MISSION OF CINE LAS AMERICAS IS TO PROMOTE CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND GROWTH BY EDUCATING, ENTERTAINING AND CHALLENGING THE DIVERSE CENTRAL TEXAS COMMUNITY THROUGH FILM AND MEDIA ARTS.

CINE LAS AMERICAS HELD ITS 25TH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OVER FIVE DAYS IN MAY 2023. THE FESTIVAL WAS AN IN-PERSON EVENT AT EIGHT DIFFERENT THEATRES AND EVENT SPACES WITH ABOUT 2,500 ATTENDESS SCREENING 90+ FILMS FROM ABOUT 25 COUNTRIES. BOTH TICKETED AND FREE SCREENINGS WERE INCLUDED PRESENTING DIFFERENT CATEGORIES INCLUDING FEATURES, NARRATIVES, DOCUMENTARIES, SHORTS AND SIGNATURE PROGRAMS SHOWCASING FILMS MADE IN TEXAS, YOUTH FILMS AND MUSIC VIDEOS.


DURING 2023, CINE LAS AMERICAS HOSTED AND SUPPORTED MONTHLY FILM SCREENNGS THORUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING SEVERAL FEATURING Q&A SESSIONS WITH FILM DIRECTORS. IN ADDITION, CINE PROVIDED A VARIETY OF PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY FILM SCREENINGS AND EVENTS.
