THE HEIDI SEARCH CENTER, INC. SERVES AS A RESOURCE FOR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, REFERRALS, ADVOCACY, AND ASSISTING LAW ENFORCEMENT IN SEARCH EFFORTS FOR MISSING CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS AND BEYOND.

THE HEIDI SEARCH CENTER CLOSED ITS BUILDING IN JANUARY 2018. WE TRANSFERRED OUR BUILDING TO CT LOBOS AND THEY PAID THE OUTSTANDING TAX BILL ON THE BUILDING. IN ADDITION WE TRANSFERRED THE DESKS AND OTHER ASSETS TO CT LOBOS AND THE SMALL BALANCE IN OUT CHECKING ACCOUNT. SOON AFTER THE BUILDING WAS TRANSFERRED SOMEONE STOLE THE AIR CONDITIONER. OUR INSURANCE PAID MOST OF THE COST TO REPLACE IT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. AFTER PAYING FOR THE AC WE CLOSED THE BANK ACCOUNT.
WE STILL MAINTAIN MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE. WE HAVE ABOUT 79 OPEN CASES AFTER 27 YEARS OF SERVICE. THE FILES FOR THOSE ARE STORED IN THE BUILDING BY CT LOBOS SO THEY MAY BE ACCESSES IF NEEDED. WE DID A MULTI MEDIA PROJECT WITH TEXAS TRIBUNE ABOUT JAIME MAYBERRY AND THE PROBLEMS WITH LONG TERM MISSING CASES, MAYBERRYMISSING.ORG. IT WAS SHOWN IN 11 NEWS MARKETS IN TEXAS, BROADCAST AS A PODCAST, AND A WEB SITE. IT WON SOME MEDIA AWARDS AND LED TO NEEDED CHANGES IN LAW ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES. DOTTIE CONTINUES TO ANSWER MEDIA AND LAW ENFORCEMENT QUESTIONS REGARDING THE MISSING CASES. WE STOPPED TAKING NEW CASES IN JANUARY 2018. SHE HAD A CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE MISSING ON DEC. 2018 AT LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP IN NEW BRAUNFELS. THIS ALLOWS FAMILIES TO HONOR THEIR MISSING SO THEY CAN THEN HAVE CHRISTMAS WITH THE OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS.
