THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING. THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES ARE FUNDED PRIMARILY BY RENTAL REVENUES AND GOVERNMENT GRANTS. RENTAL IS LIMITED TO ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS OR FAMILIES WHOSE ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD AT INITIAL OCCUPANCY DOES NOT EXCEED 80% OF THE H.U.D. MEDIAN FAMILY INCOME, ADJUSTED FOR HOUSEHOLD SIZE, AND WHO MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR SECTION 8 RENTAL SUBSIDIES. IN THE EVENT ONE OF THE UNITS ARE LEASED TO ELIGIBLE RESIDENTS WHO RECEIVE SAN ANTONIO HOUSING AUTHORITY SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING PROGRAM CERTIFICATES, THE AFFORDABLE MONTHLY RENT, EXCLUDING THE VALUE OF THE SECTION 8 BENEFITS, SHOULD NOT EXCEED 30% OF THE ELIGIBLE RESIDENT'S GROSS MONTHLY INCOME, INCLUDING A REASONABLE ALLOWANCE FOR UTILITIES USING THE SAN ANTONIO HOUSING AUTHORITY SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING PROGRAM STANDARDS.
