SAIPC ORGANIZES AND HOSTS A PIANO COMPETITION THAT TAKES PLACE EVERY FOUR YEARS. DURING THE EVENT, COMPETITORS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD COMPETE FOR CASH AND PERFORMANCE PRIZES BEFORE A PANEL OF INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED JUDGES. IN MOST CASES, THE WINNERS HAVE GONE ON TO IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE AND TEACHING CAREERS ON THE WORLD STAGE. BETWEEN COMPETITION YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION IS INVOLVED IN PROMOTION AND FUNDRAISING THE EVENT. WE AT SAIPC ARE PROUD OF OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM. OUR AMBASSADORS PROGRAM SERVES TO BRING THE POWER AND BEAUTY OF CLASSICAL PIANO TO THE SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE 5 TO 10 YOUNG AND GIFTED SAN ANTONIO AREA PIANISTS WITH A SET OF CONCERT OPPORTUNITIES TO BUILD THEIR PERFORMANCE SKILLS. WE PROVIDE MASTER CLASSES FOR AMBASSADORS, ANNUAL AMBASSADOR PERFORMANCES, SENIOR TOUR (RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES AND NURSING FACILITIES), COMMUNITY TOUR (KING WILLIAMS, HAVEN FOR HOPE, AND OTHERS), AND OPENING PERFORMANCES AT OTHER SAIPC CONCERT EVENTS. THERE IS NO ADMISSION CHARGE AND THE PROGRAM'S TOTAL ATTENDENCE TARGET IS OVER 1,000.SAIPC'S INTERNATIONAL PIANO SERIES IS THE ONLY LOCAL SERIES ESPECIALLY DESIGNED TO FEATURE PIANO PERFORMANCE. HUNDREDS OF SAN ANTONIANS HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THIS SERIES, WHICH FEATURES TOP ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DEDICATE AMPLE VOLUNTEER HOURS IN ORDER TO MEET THE ORGANIZATION'S GOALS. A NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS DONATED APPROXIMATELY 2,000 AND 2,040 HOURS TO THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAM SERVICES DURING THE YEARS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2015 AND 2014, RESPECTIVELY; HOWEVER, THESE DONATED SERVICES ARE NOT REFLECTED IN THE REVENUES AND EXPENSES OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE APPROXIMATE VALUE FOR THESE SERVICES WAS $66,000 AND $67,000 FOR THE YEARS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2015 AND 2014, RESPECTIVELY.
