THE TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES SERVES AS A FORUM FOR RESOLVING COUNTY ISSUES AND IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SERVICES TO TEXAS COUNTIES AND ASSISTANCE TO ALL COUNTY OFFICIALS TO PROVIDE A RESPONSIVE FORM OF GOVERNMENT ON THE LOCAL LEVEL.

NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS- THE TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (TAC) MEETS THE NEEDS OF TEXAS COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICIALS THROUGH A BROAD RANGE OF SERVICES AIMED AT SUPPORTING EACH OF THE 254 TEXAS COUNTIES AND ALL COUNTY OFFICIALS. THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS COUNTY VIEWS BEFORE OTHER GOVERNMENTAL BODIES AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE. PRIMARY SERVICES INCLUDE EDUCATION, LIASON ACTIVITY WITH STATE AND NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS, RESEARCH, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, COST EFFECTIVE RISK MANAGEMENT, LOSS CONTROL SERVICES, MANAGEMENT OF SELF INSURING POOLS, AND COMMUNICATION OF COUNTY RELATED ISSUES.
