THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS OKLAHOMA CHAPTER (OKAAP) IS COMPRISED OF OVER 400 PEDIATRICIANS AROUND THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA. OKAAP ADVOCATES FOR LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES SUCH AS IMMUNIZATIONS, CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, CHILDHOOD OBESITY PREVENTION, ORAL HEALTH, AND SMOKING CESSATION AS WELL SUPPORTING STATE AGENCIES FOR REGULATORY, SOCIO-ECONOMIC, AND PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY ISSUES. OKAAP ALSO PROVIDES LEADERSHIP AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE ORGANIZATION EACH DRIVEN BY HIGH QUALITY PATIENT DELIVERABLES AND MEMBER INTERESTS.
