TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WHO RESIDE IN MOREHOUSE PARISH.

ADULT HABILITATION (DAY PROGRAM) - THE ADULT HABILITATION FUNDS WERE USED TO TRAIN CLIENTS IN VOCATIONAL AND PREVOCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES.


RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - INCOME WAS RECEIVED FROM THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HOSPITALS. CLIENTS PAY A PRO-RATA SHARE OF THE COSTS BASED ON THEIR INCOME. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED BLIENTS WITH A HOME ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND HELPED THEM BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT CITIZENS. EAST MOREHOUSE AND CROSSETT ROAD COMMUNITY HOMES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS PROGRAM.


SUPPORTED LIVING - INCOME IS RECEIVED FROM THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HOSPITALS. THIS PROGRAM, SIMILAR TO RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, HELPED THE INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND TRAINING IN THEIR RESIDENCES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.


CONTRACT SERVICES - PROVIDED SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY CLIENTS WHICH INCLUDED JANITORIAL AND OTHER CONTRACTS.
