EDUCATION: THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A SERIES OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. LARGER PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE LOUISIANA TRAVEL SUMMIT (LARGE ANNUAL CONVENTION), A CERTIFIED TRAVEL SPECIALIST YEAR-LONG CERTIFICATION TRAINING, THE LOUISIANA TOURISM LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, A CEO FORUM AND A SALES & MARKETING SYMPOSIUM. IN ADDITION TO THESE LARGER PROGRAMS WE OFFER WEBINARS AND ONLINE PRERECORDED SEMINARS.


MARKETING/PROMOTION: THE ORGANIZATION HAS A ADVERTISING PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS MEMBERS TO REDUCE EXPENSES AND IN SOME CASES COOPERATIVELY MARKET TOGETHER FOR A STRONGER, UNIFIED EFFORT. ADVOCACY: LTA IS THE VOICE AND EDUCATIONAL ADVOCATE FOR THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LEVELS.
