VOLUNTEER ASCENSION IS DEDICATED TO THE RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE A NETWORK OF ASSISTANCE TO THE LESS FORTUNATE THROUGHOUT THE ASCENSION PARISH COMMUNITY. WE OFFER THAT ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, THOSE WITH DISABILITIES AND THOSE IN NEED.

DISASTER ASSISTANCEPRIMARY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SERVING AS A VOLUNTEER CLEARING HOUSE TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE DATA BASE FOR ALL SERVICES FOR FAMILIES TO CENTRALIZE EFFORTS. AS A RESULT OF HURRICANE IDA, VOLUNTEER ASCENSION WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN FUNDS SPECIFICALLY FOR DISASTER RECOVERY. MUCH OF THE FUNDS ARE USED FOR HURRICANE RELIEF.


ALL OTHER:PRIMARY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SERVING AS A VOLUNTEER CLEARING HOUSE TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE DATA BASE FOR ALL SERVICES FOR FAMILIES TO CENTRALIZE EFFORTS. SOME OF THE OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE SCHOOL TOOLS & UNIFORMS, MOVIE NIGHT, AND FEEDING HOPE.


BENEVOLENCE:PRIMARY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SERVING AS A VOLUNTEER CLEARING HOUSE TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE DATA BASE FOR ALL SERVICES FOR FAMILIES TO CENTRALIZE EFFORTS. VOLUNTEER ASCENSION USES THESE FUNDS TO ASSIST WITH UTILITY COST AND HOUSING FOR THOSE IN NEED.
