TO SERVE THE FAMILY VIOLENCE VICTIMS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE 24 HOUR HOTLINE, COUNSELING ADVOCACY, TEMPORARY EMERGENCY SHELTER, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING.

VICTIM SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDES TELEPHONE, FACE-TO-FACE COUNSELING, AND SUPPORT GROUPS TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND FAMILY VIOLENCE. VICTIM SERVICES PROGRAM INCLUDES A SAFE HOUSE SHELTER SERVICES PROGRAM THAT OFFERS TEMPORARY EMERGENCY HOUSING TO VICTIMS OF ABUSE AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO HAVE NO SAFE PLACE TO STAY WHEN ESCAPING DOMESTIC ABUSE OR FAMILY VIOLENCE. ROOM AND BOARD ARE PROVIDED AT NO COST FOR A LIMITED TIME. THE VICTIM SERVICES PROGRAM OFFERS ABUSE VICTIMS CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES WITH INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES, ADVOCACY, AND SUPPORT SERVICES.


LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAM ASSISTS VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND FAMILY VIOLENCE WITH LEGAL NEEDS INCLUDING LEGAL REPRESENTATION FOR PROTECTION ORDERS, PRESSING CHARGES, COURT APPEARANCES, AND ACCESS TO LEGAL REPRESENTATION.


THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM SEEKS TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE IRIS SERVICE AREA (8 PARISHES) TO RAISE AWARENESS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND FAMILY VIOLENCE, EXPAND COORDINATION WITH OTHER SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND FAITH-BASED GROUPS, DEVELOP AN ACTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE, CALL ATTENTION TO THE ISSUE OF DOMESTIC ABUSE, FAMILY VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, STALKING, AND TO HELP COORDINATE AND IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY SERVICES RESPONSE TO THE DANGERS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND FAMILY VIOLENCE.
