SPAY-NEUTER - THE JEFFERSON SPCA LOW-COST; NO COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM PROVIDED SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR ANIMALS IN JEFFERSON PARISH IN 2021. NEAR 32% OF THE SURGERIES WERE FREE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERY FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CATS IN 2021.


GENERAL OPERATIONS: IN THE JEFFERSON SPCA PROVIDED LIFE-SAVING HEARTWORM TREATMENT TO ADOPTED DOGS FROM THE JEFFERSON PARISH ANIMAL SHELTER, PROVIDED A VOLUNTEER LIAISON COORDINATING VOLUNTEERS FOR SHELTER PET SOCIALIZATION AND OFF-SITE PET ADOPTION EVENTS, RESPONDED TO OVER 4,000 CALLS FOR FOUND PETS FOR THE RABIES LICENSE HOTLINE.
