ALLIANCE PARTNERSHIP MEXICO:THE ALLIANCE PARTNERSHIP MEXICO (AP MEXICO) IS FUNDED BY A FEDERAL GRANT FROM INL (THE BUREAU OF INTERNATIONAL NARCOTICS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AFFAIRS), PART OF THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT. AP MEXICO PROVIDES LEGAL TRAINING TO MEXICAN PROSECUTORS, INVESTIGATORS, FORENSIC EXPERTS, AND ANALYSTS TO IMPROVE THEIR ABILITY TO WORK TOGETHER TO INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE CRIME. THE PROGRAMS IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCURACY OF THE MEXICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM WHILE PROTECTING INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. IT ALSO EDUCATES THE MEXICAN LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC ON THE NATURE OF MEXICO'S ADVERSARIAL ORAL TRIAL SYSTEM. FINALLY, IT SUPPORTS INLS GOALS OF COLLABORATION AMONG OTHER RULE OF LAW GRANTEES TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY ACROSS TRAINING PROGRAMS.
