TO ENGAGE IN THE RECRUITING, CERTIFYING, AND TRAINING OF, AND PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TO, FOSTER PARENTS, OR IN FINDING HOMES FOR PLACEMENT OF CHILDREN FOR TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT CARE WHO REQUIRE THAT LEVEL OF CARE AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO A GROUP HOME. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO COUNSELING, EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL, MENTAL, AND SOCIAL ISSUES.
THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PLACEMENT PROGRAM IS TO SERVE FOSTER YOUTH THROUGH A VERY INNOVATIVE AND PROACTIVE PROGRAM. THE GOALS OF THE PROGRAM ARE TO ASSIST FOSTER YOUTH AGES 16-24 WITH THEIR INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS WHICH WOULD ULTIMATELY PROVIDE THE YOUTH WITH THE SKILLS THEY WILL NEED TO TRANSITION INTO ADULTHOOD. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO RENTING THEIR OWN LIVING SPACE, LEARNING COOKING, BUDGETING, LAUNDRY, BANKING, AND JOB SKILLS.
ASSIST FAMILIES WHO WISH TO ADOPT THROUGH THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM OR PRIVATELY AND PROVIDE A WAITING CHILD WITH A LOVING, PERMANENT FAMILY.
