IN 2002, THE WELLNESS COMMUNITY - GREATER MIAMI BEGAN PROVIDING FREE PSYCHOLOGICAL, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO CANCER PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. IN 2010, THE BOARD CHANGED THE NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION TO CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREATER MIAMI, INC.
