THE MISSION OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS TO BENEFIT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI, ITS STUDENTS, AND ALUMNI THROUGH UPHOLDING TRADITIONS, SPONSORING ACTIVITIES, EVENTS, AND PUBLICATIONS.

THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PRODUCES A QUARTERLY MAGAZINE EACH YEAR. THE MAGAZINE IS MAILED TO ALL PAID MEMBERS OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AND A FEW OTHERS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PRODUCES NUMEROUS OTHER PROGRAMS AND FLIERS FOR VARIOUS EVENTS, SOLICITATION PIECES, AND AN ANNUAL REPORT THAT ARE DISTRIBUTED TO VARIOUS GROUPS.
THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HAS A NUMBER OF DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS. THE ASSOCIATION SENDS MONEY TO THE USM FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THE PARTNERS FOR THE ARTS, FRIENDS FOR GIFTED EDUCATION, DUBARD SCHOOL, SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, LIBRARY FUND, AND VARIOUS OTHER INITIATIVES. THE ASSOCIATION SENDS MONEY TO THE UNVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI ATHLETIC FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THE DUGOUT CLUB, WINGS, AND VARIOUS OTHER INITIATIVES.
THE USM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CONTRIBUTED FUNDS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI TO SUPPLEMENT THE UNIVERSITY SALARIES.
