THE SINGING RIVER EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION SERVED A TOTAL OF 124 CHILDREN (AGES 0-5) THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE ASSOCIATION SERVICES STUDENTS OF DIFFERENT RACE AND ETHNICITY. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO SERVICES ELL STUDENTS AS WELL AS STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES. WORKING CLOSELY WITH FAMILIES TO MAKE SURE ALL CHILDREN HAVE BEEN SCREENED FOR MEDICAL, VISUAL, AND DENTAL NEEDS. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE UP TO DATE ON IMMUNIZATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION HAS TWO CENTERS IN THE GEORGE COUNTY AREA. THE ASSOCIATION IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING THE MAIN FACILITY TO A BETTER LOCATION IN ORDER TO BE OF BETTER SERVICE TO CHILDREN AND STAFF. SINGING RIVER EDUCATION ASSOCIATION HAS A PARTNERSHIP WITH GEORGE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE EARLY LEARNING COLLABORATIVE STATE GRANT. THE ASSOCIATION HAS ALSO GREATLY INCREASED THEIR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS.
