ALABAMA COALITION AGAINST RAPE, INC'S MISSION IS TO REDUCE INCIDENCES OF SEXUAL ASSAULT.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE COALITION PROVIDES PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL EDUCATE AND PREVENT SEXUAL ASSAULT. THE COALITION PROVIDES TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO FIRST RESPONDERS ACROSS THE STATE IN ORDER TO ENSURE QUALITY TRAUMA-INFORMED, VICTIM/SURVIVOR-CENTERED SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO ALABAMIANS WHO HAVE BEEN REPAED. COALITION STAFF ALSO SERVES ON A NUMBER OF STATEWIDE AND NATIONWIDE COMMITTEES AND GROUPS IN ORDER TO ADVOCATE FOR POLICIES AND LAWS THAT PROTECT AND/OR BENEFIT RAPE VICTIM/SURVIVORS. THE COALITION ALSO PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING TO THOSE WHO WORK ON THE PREVENTION SIDE OF RAPE CRISIS, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL BEING ENDING RAPE IN ALABAMA.
