THE ALABAMA ASSOCIATION OF CONSERVATION DISTRICTS (AACD) IS THE UNIFIED VOICE OF ALABAMA'S 67 CONSERVATION DISTRICTS. ORGANIZED AS A 501(C)3, AACD WORKS IN COOPERATION WITH THE ALABAMA SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, AND OTHER PARTNERS TO SUPPORT AND PROVIDE SERVICES TO CONSERVE, ENHANCE, AND PROTECT ALABAMA'S VAST NATURAL RESOURCES.

PROVISION AND ADMINISTRATION OF OFFICE AND ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE FOR ALL 67 SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY, FACILITATE COMMUNICATIONS, AND ASSIST WITH MAINTIANING UNIFORMINTY AND ACCURANCY IN COMPLIANCE REPORTING.


STATEWIDE CONSERVATION EDUCATION AND OUTREACH. COORDINATION OF THE ALABAMA ENVIROTHON COMPETITION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. SUPPORT TO CONSERVATION DISTRICTS FOR SCHOOL-BASED AND LANDOWNER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. PROVISION OF CONSERVATION-RELATED EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC.


DELIVERY OF TECHNICAL PROGRAM SERVICES AND TRAINING STATEWIDE. PROVISION OF AND SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYEE, VOLUNTEER, AND LANDOWNER TRAINING FOR 67 SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT COORDINATION FOR EXPANDING CONSERVATION PROGRAMS TO ASSIST WITH DROUGHT-RESILIENCE AND INVASIVE SPECIES MANAGEMENT. COORDINATION OF VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES FOCUSED ON URBAN CONSERVATION AND BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR MANAGING FORESTRY AND WILDLIFE.
