TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO BATTERED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN FROM 9 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST ALABAMA. OVER 129 SHELTERED WOMEN AND OVER 63 CHILDREN RECEIVED FOOD, COUNSELING, SAFE SHELTER, AND ADVOCACY. OVER 32 OUT OF SHELTER WOMEN WERE TREATED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AND OVER 189 WERE TREATED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. OVER 1160 CRISIS CALLS WERE RECEIVED DURING THE YEAR.
