SUMNER COUNTY CASA INC. BEGAN ASSIGNING VOLUNTEERS IN APRIL 1992 AND HAS ADVOCATED FOR OVER 4,000 CHILDREN IN COURT PROCEEDINGS TO DATE IN CASES PRIMARILY INVOLVING ABUSE AND/OR NEGLECT. IN 2021-2022, 41 CASA VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED SERVICE TO 101 CHILDREN, DONATED OVER 2,100 HOURS, TRAINED OVER 450 HOURS, AND DROVE OVER 2700 MILES. 10 NEW CASA VOLUNTEERS WERE TRAINED AND SWORN IN DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR. 44 CASES WERE CLOSED AND 45 NEW CASES WERE OPENED DURING 2021-2022.
