CASA OF EAST TENNESSEE RECRUITS, TRAINS, AND SUPPORTS VOLUNTEERS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN IN KNOX COUNTY. VOLUNTEERS WORK TO DISCOVER A CHILD'S BEST INTERESTS, COLLABORATING CLOSELY WITH JUVENILE COURT, EDUCATORS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, AND SOCIAL WORKERS TO FIND THE CHILD A SAFE, PERMANENT HOME. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, CASA ASSISTED IN FINDING 135 CHILDREN PERMANENT HOMES UTILIZING 48 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS.
