CONCERT SERIES - PRESENTS & DOCUMENTS TRADITIONAL PERFORMING ARTS OF THE PEOPLE OF APPALACHIA. CONCERTS ARE TAPED & BROADCAST ON LOCAL RADIO.
FOCUSES ON THE PRESENTATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF TRADITIONAL ARTS OUTSIDE THE CONCERT SIDE. IT INCLUDES FIELD RESEARCH, RADIO BROADCASTING, CD PRODUCTION AND SERVICES IN THE FIELD.
PROVIDES ASSISTANCE AND REHEARSAL, INSTRUCTION, AND PERFORMANCE SPACE FOR ABOUT TWENTY AFFILIATE GROUPS IN MUSIC, DANCE, POETRY, PROSE AND STORYTELLING GENRES ANNUALLY, MOST OF WHO MEET ON A WEEKLY BASIS. THESE GROUPS SUPPORT THE MISSION AND MOST FEATURE LIVE PERFORMANCE BY LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTIST.
