TO PRESERVE A HISTORIC STRUCTURE, THE OAKLANDS MANSION, SO THAT THE PUBLIC CAN VISUALIZE A PIECE OF HISTORY AND BE EDUCATED AS TO PAST GENERATIONS WAY OF LIFE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ASSOCIATION EXISTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRESERVING THE OAKLANDS MANSION AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC TO PAST GENERATIONS WAY OF LIFE. TOURS ARE GIVEN THROUGH THE RENOVATED HOME, WITH PERIOD ITEMS ON DISPLAY. APPROXIMATELY 2,047 GUESTS TOURED THE HISTORIC GROUNDS THROUGH TICKETED ADMISSION EVENTS WHICH PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE MANSION AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY. MANY OF OUR EXHIBITS AND OTHER PROGRAMMING TOOK PLACE VIRTUALLY DUE TO CLOSURES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. WE PRODUCED A VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE MANSION AND GROUNDS WHILE WE WERE CLOSED TO IN-PERSON VISITORS.
