RESTORE JUSTICE FOR SURVIVORS WAS ORGANIZED TO CREATE AND SUPPORT A COALITION OF ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN EDUCATING THE PUBLIC AND LEGISLATORS ABOUT ACCESS TO JUSTICE ISSUES AND THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY. THE ORGANIZATION CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 30 LIKE-MINDED GROUPS AND DOZENS OF SURVIVORS AND CONTINUES TO ADD PARTNERS. THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGES IN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS (A) TO REINSTATE THE POWER OF JURIES IN CIVIL CASES TO MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON THE FACTS OF THE CASE, ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS, AND (B) TO FIGHT AGAINST LIMITS WHICH DEPRIVE INJURED OREGONIANS' OF THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
