CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS: SOUTH FORK CONSERVANCY WORKED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDUSTRY, GOVERNMENTAL, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO CONSTRUCT THE CONFLUENCE BRIDGE AND ADA RAMP SYSTEM. THIS 300-FOOT-LONG STRUCTURE LINKS OUR TRAIL NETWORK AND CREATES A CONNECTION TO OTHER REGIONALLY SIGNIFICANT TRAIL SYSTEMS. DURING 2021, SFC SPENT $538,384 TO CONSTRUCT THE CONFLUENCE BRIDGE AND ADA RAMP SYSTEM. THIS AMOUNT WAS CAPITALIZED DURING 2021 ONTO SFC'S ASSETS AS LAND, BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT. THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021, SFC HAS SPENT A TOTAL OF $2,252,985 ON THIS PROJECT THAT IS CAPITALIZED AS LAND, BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT.


TRAIL MAINTENANCE AND HABITAT RESTORATION: SOUTH FORK CONSERVANCY REMOVED TONS OF TRASH AND LITTER FROM THE SOUTH AND NORTH FORKS OF PEACHTREE CREEK, OVER 1,500 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DIRECTED TOWARDS INVASIVE REMOVAL AND NATIVE PLANTINGS ALONG OUR ENTIRE TRAIL NETWORK AND ADJOINING GREENSPACES.


TRAIL BUILDING: SFC RECEIVED ALL NECESSARY PERMITS TO CONSTRUCT THE CREEK WALK CONNECTOR TRAIL. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN AS PER OUR APPROVED DESIGNS. A NEW SOFT-SURFACE TRAIL WAS DESIGNED FOR MEADOW LOOP, AND AN INNOVATIVE DESIGN WAS CREATED FOR THE CHESHIRE FARM TRAIL IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ATLANTA DEPARTMENT OF WATERSHED MANAGEMENT. DURING 2021, SFC SPENT $468,575 TO CONSTRUCT THE CREEK WALK CONNECTOR TRAIL. THIS AMOUNT WAS CAPITALIZED DURING 2021 ONTO SFC'S ASSETS AS LAND, BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT AND REFLECTS THE CUMULATIVE AMOUNT SPENT ON THIS PROJECT THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021.
