TO CONSERVE AND RESTORE SOUTH FLORIDA ECOSYSTEMS, FOCUSING ON BIRDS, OTHER WILDLIFE AND THEIR HABITATS.

WORK TOWARDS PROTECTION OF THE NATURAL WORLD AND PROMOTE WISE STEWARDSHIP OF NATURAL RESOURCES, ESPECIALLY NATIVE PLANTS AND ANIMALS AND THEIR HABITATS. DURING 2021, TROPICAL AUDUBON SOCIETY RECEIVED PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF 32,500 FOR A LAWSUIT DEFENDING PROTECTION OF EVERGLADES WETLANDS FROM DEVELOPMENT OF A STATE ROAD.


EDUCATE TO PROMOTE AN UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF NATURE, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND ECOLOGICAL RELATIONSHIPS. FOSTER AND PROMOTE ECOLOGICAL CONSCIENTIOUSNESS IN THE SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY BY WAY OF FIELD TRIPS FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS FOR BIRDING AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES. USE OUR NATIVE PLANT SALES TO INFORM AND DISTRIBUTE PLANTS. VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION HANDS-ON EVENTS TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF NATIVE SPECIES AND HABITATS.


PRESERVE AND MAINTAIN THE "DOC THOMAS HOUSE", TROPICAL AUDUBON SOCIETY'S HEADQUARTERS AND SITE OF VARIOUS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING: ANNUAL MEETING, MEMBER MEETINGS, MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, THE NATIVE PLANT SALES, CONSERVATION CONCERTS AND OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS. IT HAS ALSO BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS PUBLIC MEETINGS.
