CATHERINE HESTER MCNAIR & BRIDGE THE GAP. IN COLLABORATION WITH BRIDGE THE GAP, SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO APPROXIMATELY 16,000 TO ENHANCE THE QUALIFY OF LIFE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY. THESE SERVICES INCLUDED PROVIDING FRESH VEGETABLES FROM THE GARDEN, DISTRIBUTING FOOD THROUGH WEEKLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM, AND SUPPLYING PERSONAL CARE ITEMS. IN ADDITION,TRANSPORTATION WAS PROVIDED TO ASSIST WITH OBTAINING HEALTH CARE, GROCERIES, AND ACCESS OTHER CRITICAL NEEDS.
COVID-19 AWARENESS EVENT. THIS SESSION WAS DESIGNED TO AUGMENT AND INCREASE THE WARENESS OF COVID-19. WHILE FOCUSING ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COVID -19 VACCINATION AND ITS SUBSEQUENT BOOSTERS TO HELD DIMINISH THE IMPACT OF COVID 19. APPROXIMATELY 800 PEOPLE, ATTENDED THIS EVENT
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS. SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,000 EACH WERE AWARDED TO SIX NURSING STUDENTS ATTENDING LOCAL COLLAGES/UNIVERSITES IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA.
